About
I’m Rahul Singhal, a Clinical Psychology professional with a genuine interest in understanding people, their emotions, relationships, and the challenges they experience in everyday life. With a background in Clinical Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, and ongoing doctoral training in Clinical Psychology, I have developed a strong interest in supporting individuals through emotional, behavioural, interpersonal, and adjustment-related concerns.
I believe that seeking psychological support is a sign of strength and self-awareness, rather than weakness. My approach to counselling is empathetic, non-judgemental, collaborative, and person-centred. I aim to create a safe and accepting space where individuals can express their thoughts and emotions openly, without fear of criticism or judgement.
My work is informed by evidence-based approaches, particularly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), behavioural interventions, psychoeducation, and supportive counselling. I focus on helping individuals understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, develop healthier coping strategies, build self-awareness, and work towards meaningful and sustainable changes.
I am particularly interested in working with young adults, university students, LGBTQ+ individuals, and older adults, while recognising that every individual brings a unique background, set of experiences, strengths, and needs. I believe counselling should be tailored to the person rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
My goal is not simply to help individuals manage their immediate difficulties, but also to support them in developing greater emotional awareness, resilience, self-confidence, and practical skills for navigating future challenges. I see the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process in which the individual remains an active participant in understanding themselves and deciding the changes they wish to make.
Whether someone is experiencing emotional distress, relationship difficulties, academic or life-related stress, behavioural concerns, or simply feels stuck and wants greater clarity, I hope to provide a supportive space where they can pause, reflect, and take meaningful steps towards a healthier and more fulfilling life.
