It does not pretend.
Mira is introduced as AI-powered support. It does not claim feelings, personal experience, qualifications, or a relationship it cannot truly have.
Meet Mira
Mira is Mindara's AI-powered reflection guide. It makes room for what is on your mind, helps you notice a next small step, and can connect you to real care when you choose.
Mira is AI-powered support, not a therapist, doctor, or emergency service. If you may be in immediate danger or need urgent support, use crisis resources instead.
A general AI chat can be useful for writing, learning, planning, and open-ended questions. Mira is deliberately narrower: it is designed for thoughtful check-ins between sessions in Mindara. This is not a claim that one is better at everything; it is a difference in purpose and product safeguards.
| What changes | A general AI chat, such as ChatGPT | Mira in Mindara |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Made for a wide range of questions and tasks. | Starts with emotional reflection, simple wellbeing tools, and support between care sessions. |
| Conversation style | May adapt to many roles, from editor to tutor to brainstorm partner. | Uses a brief, calm, emotionally attentive style; it does not diagnose, prescribe, or act as a therapist. |
| Continuity | Context and memory depend on that product's settings and plan. | Personal context is off until the person enables it. They can review, edit, and clear what Mira remembers in Mindara. |
| Safety path | Safety features vary by product and settings. | Mindara checks acute self-harm language before it reaches the model and shows crisis resources directly when that check is triggered. |
| Connection to care | Not connected to a Mindara booking relationship. | Can point to real Mindara tools and, only with the person's preference, help them explore provider options. |
| Sharing | Controlled by the general AI product's own privacy settings. | Raw chats are not shared with providers. Any care-history sharing is chosen during booking, limited to selected categories, and visible in the person's settings. |
A human name should make the experience easier to approach, not hide what it is. These principles shape every Mira conversation.
Mira is introduced as AI-powered support. It does not claim feelings, personal experience, qualifications, or a relationship it cannot truly have.
Personalization is optional. You can choose data categories, inspect stored memories, remove them, and decide what—if anything—gets shared for care.
Mira supports reflection; licensed providers deliver care. It can suggest real human support when appropriate, without pushing a referral into every conversation.
Mira cannot provide emergency help, diagnosis, medical advice, or therapy. If someone may hurt themselves or another person, feels unsafe, or needs urgent help, they should contact local emergency services, a crisis line, or a trusted person now. View crisis resources.
