Who is eligible for free therapy grants?
Anyone residing in India or the Indian diaspora currently undergoing cancer treatment, cancer survivors adjusting to life in remission, immediate family caregivers supporting a cancer patient, and individuals navigating grief after losing a loved one to cancer are eligible.
What do the 4 sponsored sessions include?
Each approved beneficiary receives a grant of 4 fully sponsored 50-minute private sessions with a licensed psychologist or psycho-oncologist. Sessions can be conducted via secure HD video, phone call, or live text chat depending on your physical energy and comfort.
Is my application and therapy confidential?
100% confidential. Mindara adheres to strict clinical data protection standards. Your medical diagnosis, contact details, and session notes remain strictly between you and your licensed therapist. No personal information is ever shared with sponsors or third parties.
How are volunteer counselors vetted?
All volunteer counselors must hold accredited master’s or doctoral degrees in psychology or psychiatry, active clinical licenses (e.g. RCI CRR in India or recognized state boards), and demonstrated competence in psycho-oncology, palliative care, or grief therapy.
Can I donate anonymously?
Yes. When sponsoring sessions, simply check the "Make my donation anonymous" box. Your name will be hidden from the public Donor Wall and public records.
What happens after the 4 sponsored sessions?
The 4 sessions are designed as a dedicated journey to help you process diagnosis shock, treatment fatigue, anxiety, or grief. After completing the grant, you and your therapist may choose to continue with additional community grants (if capacity permits) or transition to regular sessions.
