How these tests work
Each test is a published questionnaire, used here word for word with its standard scoring. When you finish, you see your score, what it usually means, and links to read more or talk to a verified psychologist, counsellor or psychiatrist on Mindara.
A test cannot tell you what is wrong, and a low score does not mean you should not ask for help. If something is bothering you, it is worth talking about.
Questions people ask
Are these mental health tests free?
Yes. All four checks are free, take one to three minutes and need no account.
Are my answers saved?
No. Your answers are only used to work out your result on the page and are not stored. If you are signed in, you can choose to save a depression or anxiety result to your own check-ins.
Can an online test diagnose depression, anxiety or ADHD?
No. These are screening checks used by doctors and psychologists around the world. They show how things have been for you recently. Only a qualified professional can make a diagnosis after talking with you.
Which test should I take first?
If you are not sure, start with the quick mental health check. It takes a minute and tells you whether the longer depression or anxiety test is worth taking.
Are these tests for students?
Yes, for students aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, please talk to a parent, a teacher or your school counsellor, or call Tele-MANAS on 14416.
What if I am in crisis right now?
Please do not wait for a test result. Call Tele-MANAS on 14416 (free, all day and night) or 112 in an emergency.
